Shawn Sherwood began his career in healthcare after graduating with an associate degree from Penn State in 2014. He started working in a hospital setting immediately and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in nursing the following year. His dedication to both clinical practice and healthcare leadership led him to pursue a dual master’s degree in Nursing and Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, graduating in 2018.
During this time, Shawn transitioned into correctional healthcare and later into a role in health IT, where he focused on training and optimizing electronic health records for outpatient settings. Outside of clinical work, Shawn is deeply committed to his own health journey. He enjoys hiking and outdoor activities as a way to stay physically fit and mentally grounded.
